GREAT AGAIN (2015-202?):
A Photographic Exploration of Trump’s MAGA Movement
“GREAT AGAIN (2015–202?)” is a photographic exploration of the chaotic rise and reign of Donald Trump’s “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” movement and its ominous impact on American political expression and spectacle. Spanning from September 2015 into Trump’s second White House term, this self-funded series moves beyond pro-Trump pageantry to confront the anarchic, impassioned faces of today’s Republican Party, capturing a theater of loyalty and aggression that culminated in the January 6, 2021, US Capitol attack.
Marrying the immediacy of photojournalism with fine art’s expressive power, this portfolio exposes the polarizing plot lines defining this precarious chapter in fragile American democracy. Through stark, monochromatic imagery, it invites viewers to confront the dissonant, often unsettling realities of Trump’s most ardent followers, offering a narrative that is historically vital and provocatively relevant. The series delivers critical commentary on the enduring power of political imagery and its effects on the American psyche.
